Dr.Diego Adrián Fabila Bustos

Dr. Diego Fabila is a full professor at Unidad Profesional Interdisciplinaria de Ingeniería Campus Hidalgo of Instituto Politécnico Nacioal. His research has been focused on the development of instrumentation based on embedded systems, light sources such as light emitting diodes and laser diodes for several applications, including fluorescence spectroscopy and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy for disease detection in medical field with an emphasis on three distinct biological tissues: skin, liver, cervical tissue, and brain. Also, he has development of optomechatronics systems for applications on quality control, contaminants analysis in water, disinfection by means of UV radiation, among others. Professor Fabila is member of Researchers National System level 1 (SNII-CONAHCYT) as well as Mechatronics and Robotics Experts Network and Automotive Innovation Experts Network at Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
